Should I join a paragliding forum eventhough I don't fly one?

As an aviation enthusiast, I do want to explore many forms of flight (except balloons). And I love gliders, but they aren't that cheap and renting can be hard. So I might explore hang gliding & paragliding as well. But should I join some of the paragliding & hang gliding forums? Eventhough I haven't even touched one yet? Or flown one?
