Bonding with a sugar glider!?

Okay, yesterday I got a three month old female joey sugar glider. I only got one. Well, I've heard that in order to bond with it, you must get it out of its cage for at least 15 minutes a day. Well, today, I tried to get her out of her cage and she got really scared and pooped everywhere. How on earth do I manage to bond with it if she wont give me the chance? Help me out a lil.. please and thanks!
